The Treasury division of the Bank of New Zealand required a package that produced daily management reports of dealer's positions. A system had already been built, but this was both time-consuming and prone to user error. The system also relied heavily on a single key staff member who knew the idiosyncrasies of the system.
We developed a solution that loads data from three mainframe systems at the click of the button. It also incorporates an adjustments module. This tracks all manual adjustments made to the system, and stores, calculates and reports data in many currencies. Users can now transfer data easily and produce ad-hoc reports at the press of a button.
This assignment required significant data analysis and reconciliation skills. It is a complex system that manipulates and reports on thousands of new records, and has been used successfully on a daily basis for mission critical reporting.
